Coach the Coaches is a statewide Cricket Coaching Workshop with a major emphasis on junior coaching, aimed at junior coaches of all levels and ages.

The aim of the workshop is to introduce and improve a multitude of Cricket Coaching skills, techniques, strategies and knowledge for coaches, in order to enhance participation and improve training and playing standards of Junior Cricket at the grass roots level.

This workshop is a 2 hour theory and practical based workshop that is delivered at your club.

*Batting – the bat, grip, stance, balance, back lift, shot techniques

*Bowling – the ball, grip, run up, gather, release.

*Error detection and correction

    

*Fielding – attacking Vs defensive fielding

*Catching – high, low, slips       *Running between wickets

*Basic cricket tactics                 * Wicket Keeping 

* Effective Cricket training environments

 Cricket training drills and resources for the junior coach to cater for individuals & groups in:

*Batting                                       

*Bowling       

*WicketKeeping                                                      

*Fielding, catching & throwing 

*Running between wickets

*Teamwork

The Workshop is delivered by Leigh Callander who is an accredited level 2 Coach with Cricket Australia and has 18 years of junior & senior Cricket Coaching experience.

Leigh is a Youth Worker, Careers Counsellor, Workplace Trainer & Assessor, current RDCA Senior Coach and Teacher of Sports Excellence in Cricket programs in Victorian Secondary Schools.

All participants receive a coaching resource manual which includes information covered in the Workshop.

Workshops are available all year round  between Monday - Thursday evenings from 6-8pm and on some Sunday mornings, or at other negotiated times and days.

The Program caters for a minimum of 4 participants up to a maximum of 10.

Costs are $35 per participant or $30 per participant for 8 or more (GST Inclusive). Coaches are required to bring a bat each.
